Dennis Bolles, 2009-2010 PMOSIG Vice-Chair, Public Relations and subsequently as a 2010-2012 member of the PMI Vitrual Community Advisory Group (VCAG) developed the PMO FORUM NETWORK Program to provide a way to connect PMI Chapters and PMI PMO Communities of Practice members so the can share knowledge and experiences.

What is a PMO Forum?     

PMO Forum  is a focus group formed by PMI Chapter boards for their members who share a common Interest in Program/Project/Portfolio Management Offices. A PMO Forum provides the opportunity for its members to participate in usually in addition to regular chapter meetings for the discussion of topics relevant to the setup, functioning and operation of Program/Project/Portfolio Management Offices. The development and governance of the PMO Forum focus group is determined by the PMI Chapter Board of Directors.

The primary purpose of establishing a PMO Forum focus group is to provide an opportunity for Chapter members who are Program/Project/Portfolio Management Offices professionals or others who want to share knowledge and experiences relevant to the setup and operation of a PMO within their respective organizations.  PMO Forums are created to also establish a relationship between PMI Chapters and the PMI PMO Community of Practice.  The creation and administration of a PMO Forum is the responsibility of the PMI Chapter.
