The Power of Enterprise-Wide Project Management

I met Dennis during the 2010 PMOSIG Symposium in Dallas, Texas in November, and he presented me with a signed copy of his book at that point. Despite the fact that I had my Nook with several interesting books and some unfinished ones on it, I used my 13 hour flight to read through the majority of the book, before getting to Amman, I was more than half-way finished.
I like Dennis’ approach in presenting complex and advanced concepts in an easy and related way. Makes reading such other wise boring stuff very enticing, even for the non-expert audience.

I believe that this book can make a very good start for the organizational Project Management Topics. He’s done a good job in balancing the advanced and somewhat complicated concepts in an easy and great way!

I just finished reading The Power of Enterprise-Wide Project Management and found it to be very solid. As another review notes, this would be a great resource for an organizational leader looking to set expectations and to understand how to effectively leverage the "power of enterprise-wide project management". I would also highly recommend it for those in the project management community looking to establish the project management function within their organization as a true value contributor and driver of organizational success. The book is succinct, well written, and contains a wealth of practical advice. Definitely a good read!
